My electric bill is $480 every 90 days. Yes, using the dryer is expensive so we don t use it much. We use it for the sock/jocks and big towls, everything else is line-dried inside. (Clothes-munching dog outside.)

MEXICO - The Mexico Public Safety Department said Thursday it's looking for three suspects after finding some of their clothing at the scene of a burglary.

A little TLC helps our clothes look good and last longer - from finding time to 'have-a-go' at getting out a stain to following the washing instructions on the label.

Keeping only the clothes that give me a spark of joy has allowed me to relinquish items that I've been keeping out of one kind of guilt or another —that I bought something and never really wore it, because someone else gave it to me, or because it's wasteful to get rid of something that's perfectly 'good.'

I love the soft feel of clothes that come out of the dryer. I also love the fresh smell of line dried clothes. What I do is hang the clothes to dry, then pop them in the dryer for about 10 minutes with a damp wash cloth/towel to soften them. This saves electricity also since I have an electric dryer. sexy girls

This is very true. However being a person from the mountains in the west and now living in the city on the east. I don t feel as foolish wearing my ski jacket and hat when people are using umbrellas to cover themselves from the snow that never even sticks to the ground. You can spot the posers, but then again maybe I look foolish to them. But I still don t have to carry an umbrealla around wherever I go. FACE!

I agree with Tina. I would think that line drying vs. electric drying would not be enough to cause World War III on Jillee s very eye opening post. It s true that it saves a lot of money when you line dry clothing, but it is not always possible. Please think about things before you type/say them.

To each his (or her) own. Everyone has his or her own preferences. Personally, I use a clothesline much of the time in summer, but often toss those clothes into the dryer just to fluff them. Oh, that tends to get the beetles out, too. No fun finding a beetle in your undies.

Even once they had collected the material, the team still faced the extraordinary task of building the genetic sequence. Given the enormous volume of data, the task was akin to shredding hundreds of thousands of copies of Moby Dick and then pasting the individual sentences back together into a meaningful order. bitcoins free daily.forexlearnonline.com

You'll never have to hem and haw about whether something will be useful later, whether you should keep it because it's a 'good shirt' or was expensive or any of that! Note that 'sparking joy' applies perfectly well to items that aren't exactly thrilling but that serve us well. For instance, the cotton camisole that doesn't rise up and is just the right length — that sure sparks joy for me! Socks without holes spark a lot more joy than socks with holes. You get the picture.

What about non-white people who wear technical clothing eh? I m 1/2 yellow and 1/2 white and I wear a ridiculous amount of technical clothing. Although I always want to go camping, I m not so stupid as to think my buddy s going to call an impromptu session of hiking and paddling. I for one wear technical clothing because I m a paranoid bastard. When those zombies come, you want to be hunkered down in a makeshift shanty dressed in cotton, that retains water and chills you when the temperature drops? I think I ll stick with my technical clothing. I may look like a douche, but damn yo, how many hipsters look like douches and are just gonna be eaten by zombies because they can t run in their drainpipe jeans? Sheeit yo, it ain t just white people wearing clothing that works, that in itself is degrading to people of other shades. What, because I m 1/2 Chinese I can t be (paranoia-fuelled) practical? C mon!!

Dating to 1905, this glorious flower-strewn scene of summery bliss created by Wilhelm von Gloeden was sold as a postcard (the publisher’s initials AE a co-incidental match for this very blog!). A fine souvenir for the traveller to treasure, or perhaps a treat to send home to a friend who shared the same appreciation of aesthetic beauty and male beauty combined!

A postcard from Taormina, in the early years of the 20th century - this photograph by Gaetano D’Agata makes a charming card to send home to a friend, or keep as a souvenir.

As far as I understand the inscription on your photo is in Bulgarian:
Андрей, Честитъ ти именъ день, за много години. Пожеа ваме Ви щастие и успехъ. Андрей, тази картичка е подобна на твоята, наято ми прати, за имениятъ ми день. Приеметъ поздравъ отъ ?Всички ни Пеша.
This card is send to a certain Andrej on his name day. The sender(s?) wish him happiness and success. They also say that the picture reminded them of him.

A beautiful model, lost in his own quiet thoughts, in this postcard published by Alfred Noyer of Paris, toward the end of the 1910s, or into the early 1920s. We can see another shot of this remarkably handsome man here.

What a pretty postcard to send from a stay in the Sicilian coastal town of Taormina; a handsome young man to share with admirers of a fine male form back home. Attributed to variously von Gloeden and publishers Lehnert & Landrock, but a gorgeous model with a charming subtle smile and bewitching eyes, whoever captured him on camera.

Two different copies of the same photograph, published as postcards by Alfred Noyer of Paris, in the 1910s or ‘20s. A great part of the appeal in these pictures is their age, all the signs of wear & tear and the fading effects of time are a wonderful reminder of the years that have passed, all the places the prints have been kept - was each individual copy treasured and passed on with care; or forgotten, only to surface later for a whole new audience to appreciate.

Another magnificent shot of Ange Camilli, published as a postcard by Alfred Noyer in Paris, c.1920. I intend to collect the full set of these brilliant, brightly lit and lovely pictures, there are several more (you can see those already posted here).

Images from this glorious set are often incorrectly dated to 1863, because of the AN Paris 63 in the lower right - but this refers to publisher Alfred Noyer and his numbered registration of patent on the set.

A 1905 postcard by Wilhelm von Gloeden, beautiful in its tones of hazy blue, and the oh-so-handsome model bedecked with a wreath of laurel leaves. The image is, in fact, cropped from a larger photograph, one of a set taken some time between 1895 and 1898 at Monte Ziretto, Taormina. The full scene, with a second young man almost entirely trimmed out of this postcard version, can be seen here.

One more submission from frequent contributor Alan : when I first saw this remarkably modern-looking portrait I wasn’t certain of its authenticity - many a present-day photoshoot has been creatively edited to appear weathered and old - but it is indeed genuine. Taken in Tunisia circa 1910, by Rudolf Lehnert, this image and others like it were to find fame when published in the form of postcards, from 1924 onwards.
